Haiku by Maurizio Brancaleoni

hazy morning —

in the checkout lane

a happy face emerges

the little girl helps

mom get the apples

— the wind shines

a shining rivulet

on the platform edge —

high summer

voices of yore —

their warm clarity

effulgent gold

Easter at St. Peter's —

the less lucky

and the beauties

on the sidewalk

the unexpected "Hi!"

of the special boy

small joys —

ordering a book

on the phone

the promenade

of the stink bug

marks the days

hanging on the shoe

the cobweb shines in the sun
